Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, issued the following opening statement on Sept. 21, 2021, at a nomination hearing for Alan Estevez, to be Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security, Thea Kendler, to be an Assistant Secretary of Commerce, Alexia Latortue, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury and Graham Steele, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury.
