AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 18 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Shelley Sweatt, Ed.D. to the Texas Woman's University Board of Regents for a term set to expire on February 1, 2027.
