Texas Gov. Abbott Appoints Three to Texas Racing Commission

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 11 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Rebecca Contreras to the Texas Racing Commission for a term set to expire February 1, 2025. Additionally, the Governor reappointed Constance C. McNabb, D.V.M. and Arvel "A.J." Waight, Jr. to terms set to expire on February 1, 2027. The commission oversees pari-mutuel wagering on horse and greyhound racing.
