WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release:
Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) helped introduce H.R. 5164, Prohibiting Assistance to the Taliban Act.
The bill would prohibit American taxpayer dollars from being sent to the Taliban in the form of foreign aid or economic assistance. The bill was originally introduced by Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-FL).
