WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 -- Rep. Carolyn Bourdeaux, D-Georgia, issued the following news release:

United States Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07) released the following statement regarding the United States' withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux said, "Last night, after 20 years of war, the final American aircraft left Afghanistan. I grieve with the families who lost loved ones fighting in defense of our nation, including 74 Georgians. . . .
