WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 -- Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine, issued the following news release on Sept. 2, 2021:
The House Armed Services Committee (HASC) approved its annual defense authorization bill early this morning, including a number of provisions secured by Congressman Jared Golden (ME-02) to protect Maine's shipbuilders at Bath Iron Works (BIW) and the future shipbuilding workforce, bolster national defense, and support American servicemembers.
