Governor Janet Mills issued the following statement on the State of Texas's new law effectively banning all abortions in the state and the U.S. Supreme Court's failure to intercede to prevent the law from taking effect:
"The Supreme Court's refusal to prevent this dangerous law from taking effect is a dog whistle to extremists that they can and sh . . .
