WASHINGTON, Sept. 2 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following statement:

Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) joined more than 150 House members to help introduce legislation that would posthumously award the Congressional Gold Medal to the 13 U.S. military servicemembers who were killed in Afghanistan last week.
The bill was led by Rep. Lisa McClain (R-MI).
