WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 -- Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Georgia, issued the following news release on Aug. 31, 2021:
U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff introduced a resolution honoring the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), based in Atlanta, Ga. The resolution honors the more than 23,000 CDC employees worldwide as they continue to work on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic and save lives in the United States.
