HARTFORD, Connecticut, Sept. 1 -- Gov. Ned Lamont, D-Connecticut, issued the following news release on Aug. 31, 2021:
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he has signed a proclamation declaring Tuesday, August 31, 2021, as Overdose Awareness Day in the State of Connecticut to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of the nationwide problem surrounding opioid overdoses. At the request of the governor, a flag commemorating the day of awareness will be flown on the dome of the State . . .
