WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 -- Rep. Bill Johnson, R-Ohio, issued the following news release on Aug. 31, 2021:
"Yesterday, we saw the culmination of perhaps the biggest national security blunder by a US president in decades as President Biden withdrew American Forces from Afghanistan, meeting his self-imposed artificial timeline, but breaking his promise to leave no Americans behind. He left hundreds of Americans and Afghan allies to fend for themselves behind enemy lines.
