LANSING, Michigan, Aug. 24 -- Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel issued the following news release:
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel will not charge Ron Weiser criminally for using Michigan Republican Party (MIGOP) funds to pay Stan Grot for withdrawing from the 2018 Secretary of State race.
Last month, Weiser, chairman of MIGOP, agreed to pay a $200,000 fine after a review by the Michigan Department of State determined seven payments made from the MIGOP's . . .
