WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 -- Rep. Morgan Griffith, R-Virginia, issued the following statement:

The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded $5,144,800 to the Cumberlands Airport Commission located at the Lonesome Pine Airport in Wise County to help improve drainage and erosion control and rehabilitate the runway.
