WASHINGTON, Aug. 13 -- Sen. Thom Tillis, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) recently co-led a letter with 46 Republican senators announcing they will not vote to increase the debt ceiling, "whether that increase comes through a stand-alone bill, a continuing resolution, or any other vehicle." Such a debt ceiling increase would be one of the dire consequences of Democrats' proposed $3.5 trillion reckless spending spree . . .
