WASHINGTON, Aug. 12 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release on Aug. 11, 2021:
Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) co-sponsored the Expanding Opportunity Zones Act. The bill was originally introduced by Rep. Jim Hagedorn (R-MN).
The bill would increase the number of Opportunity Zone designations in each state to 30 percent and extend the tax deferral date to December 31, 2029.
