JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri, Aug. 11 -- The U.S. Postal Service issued the following news release on Aug. 10, 2021:
On Aug. 10, 1821, Missouri was admitted as the 24th state in the Union. The U.S. Postal Service celebrates the state's bicentennial with a new stamp dedicated at the State Capitol in Jefferson City during a ceremony held today as a part of the Missouri 2021 Bicentennial celebration.
