WASHINGTON, Aug. 10 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release on Aug. 10, 2021:
Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) co-sponsored H.R.1384, the Mainstreaming Addiction Treatment Act of 2021. This bipartisan bill would remove the outdated and burdensome regulation that restricts access to buprenorphine, one of the most widely-used medications to treat opioid addiction.
Rep. Budd said in a statement:
"More than 93,000 overdose deaths occurred . . .
