WASHINGTON, Aug. 10 -- Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senators Rob Portman (R-OH) and Michael Bennet (D-CO) introduced the Automatic Relief for Taxpayers Affected by Major Disasters and Critical Events Act, which is included in the major bipartisan infrastructure package, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This legislation will amend the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) provision which permits the Secretary of the Treasury to extend the tax fil . . .
