CHARLESTON, West Virginia, Aug. 3 -- The West Virginia Democratic Party issued the following statement by Mary Ann Claytor, co-chair of the Black Caucus:

Marks the day into the year that Black women must work to make the same amount of money in the workplace as their white male counterparts. Black women are paid 37% less than their white male counterparts and more than 20% less than white women. This must come to an end.
