WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 -- Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, issued the following news release on Aug. 4, 2021:

U.S. Senator Ron Wyden today introduced a bill that would make federal court records free and easily accessible for all Americans.

The bipartisan Open Courts Act, introduced by Wyden and U.S. Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, would reform the federal government's Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER), a database of federal judicial filings.
