WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 -- Sen. James M. Inhofe, R-Oklahoma, issued the following news release:
U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) joined U.S. Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) and 16 other Republican senators in introducing legislation (S. 2587) that ends lending to China from multilateral development banks, including the World Bank and Asian Development Bank.
The World Bank and the Asian Development Bank were created to assist developing countries and help eliminate extreme poverty. . . .
