WASHINGTON, Aug. 4 -- Sen. Raphael G. Warnock, D-Georgia, issued the following news release on Aug. 2, 2021:
Georgia U.S. Senators Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff announced more than $175 million in new funding they secured for Georgia's Historically Black Colleges and Universities through the American Rescue Plan.
Today's announcement comes in addition to the nearly $85 million Sens. Warnock and Ossoff secured for Georgia HBCUs in May.
