WASHINGTON, Aug. 4 -- Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, issued the following news release on Aug. 3, 2021:
U.S. Senators Rob Portman (R-OH), Michael Bennet (D-CO), and Angus King (I-ME) announced that their bipartisan BRIDGE Act is included in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). IIJA provides $65 billion for broadband, including more than $40 billion to states, tribal governments, U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia via block grants consistent with the senators . . .
