WASHINGTON, Aug. 4 -- Rep. Alma S. Adams, D-North Carolina, issued the following news release on Aug. 3, 2021:
Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) and Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) introduced resolutions marking Black Women's Equal Pay Day in the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, respectively. The resolution recognizes the significance of equal pay and the disparity in wages paid to white, non-Hispanic men and to Black women.
