WASHINGTON, July 30 -- Rep. Ted Lieu, D-California, issued the following news release on July 29, 2021:
Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) and Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA) urged Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas to protect Afghans who worked with U.S. media in light of the U.S. military exit from Afghanistan. Afghan reporters, journalists and fixers worked in concert with U.S. media outlets at great risk to them . . .
