WASHINGTON, July 30 -- Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Georgia, issued the following news release on July 29, 2021:
Following his push, U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff today secured supplementary funding for Georgia's National Guard following their COVID-19 pandemic response missions and extended deployment to Washington, D.C. following the January 6th insurrection.
The Senate voted unanimously to pass the bill, which now heads to the House.
