WASHINGTON, July 27 -- Sen. Benjamin Cardin, D-Maryland, issued the following news release on July 26, 2021:
U.S. Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen (both D-Md.) today praised President Joe Biden's nomination of Delegate Erek Barron to be the new U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland. If confirmed by the Senate, Delegate Barron (District 24, Prince George County) would be the first Black U.S. Attorney in Maryland's history.
