WASHINGTON, July 23 -- Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, issued the following news release on July 22, 2021:
The House of Representatives passed the ALLIES Act, a bill supported by Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-13) that will provide safety to the Afghan interpreters, security personnel, and contractors that worked with the U.S. Government during the Afghanistan conflict.
The legislation increases the Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) cap by an additional 8,000 visas, covering all pot . . .
