BISMARCK, North Dakota, July 23 -- Gov. Doug Burgum, R-North Dakota, issued the following news on July 22, 2021:

Gov. Doug Burgum today welcomed positive news regarding the state's two-year budget cycle that ended June 30. Preliminarily figures indicate a positive balance of more than $1 billion in the general fund for only the second time in state history.
