WASHINGTON, July 17 -- Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, ranking member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on July 16, 2021, after the U.S. Customs and Border Protection released operational statistics for June 2021 regarding the crisis at our southern border:
