WASHINGTON, July 16 -- Sen. Joe Manchin, D-West Virginia, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) announced $5,425,896 from the American Rescue Plan for 21 rural hospitals across West Virginia, with each rural hospital receiving $258,376. The awards are distributed through the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) and will be used for COVID-19 testing and mitigation efforts.
