WASHINGTON, July 8 -- Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Michael Bennet (D-CO) introduced the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act, bipartisan legislation that would require prescribers of controlled substances, such as opioids which can be highly addictive, to complete a substance use training to ensure they have foundational knowledge of addiction prevention, treatment, and medication management. . . .
