WASHINGTON, July 2 -- Rep. Sanford D. Bishop Jr., D-Georgia, issued the following news release:
Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) voted to pass H.R. 3684, the Investing in a New Vision for the Environment and Surface Transportation (INVEST) in America Act, a sweeping infrastructure bill, which would make much needed investments in the country's infrastructure. The bill was passed by a bipartisan vote of 221-201 and now heads to the U.S. Senate for consideration.
