WASHINGTON, July 2 -- Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, issued the following news release:
Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-13), Chair of the House Appropriations Legislative Branch Subcommittee, voted to establish a bipartisan Select Committee to investigate the January 6th attack on the United States Capitol (H. Res. 503). The bipartisan Select Committee will be comprised of 13 Members of Congress, five of whom shall be appointed after consultation with Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
