NASS - Virginia Field Office: Virginia Corn Acreage Down and Soybean Acreage Up From Last Year

RICHMOND, Virginia, July 1 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Virginia Field Office issued the following news release:

Soybeans planted in Virginia were estimated at 620,000 acres, up 50,000 acres from 2020. Area for harvest, forecast at 610,000 acres, was 50,000 acres above acres a year ago. U.S. soybean planted area for 2021 was estimated at 87.6 million acres, up 5% from last year. Area for harvest, at 86.7 million acres, is up . . .
