BEAUMONT, Texas, July 1 (TNSPer) -- Lamar University issued the following news:
The Board of Regents of the Texas State University System has confirmed Jaime R. Taylor, Ph.D., as the 16th president of Lamar University. Dr. Taylor was named sole finalist for the position earlier this month after an extensive national search. He will assume office on July 12.
Dr. Taylor has served since 2018 as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Marshall University . . .
