Melioidosis (meh-lee-oi-do-sis) is one of the most misdiagnosed and deadliest diseases in the world, with a wide range of symptoms that can be mistaken for staph infections or diseases such as tuberculosis. University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Life Sciences researchers, led by Professor Tung Hoang, were awarded a $3-million contract from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency in the U.S . . .
