WASHINGTON, June 26 (TNSPol) -- The Council on American-Islamic Relations issued the following news release on June 25, 2021:
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is renewing its call for the U.S. Senate to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act (H.R. 1280) in response to today's sentencing of former Minneapolis Police Department Officer Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd. Chauvin was sentence to 22.5 years in prison.
