WASHINGTON, June 26 -- Sen. Mark Warner, D-Virginia, issued the following news release on June 25, 2021:
U.S. Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine announced $5,150,000 in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) awarded to Blacksburg Transit (BT). The funding will go toward the purchase of nine electric buses and three charging stations to replace some of the provider's old diesel buses currently used in its fleet.
