AUSTIN, Texas, June 23 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following statement:

Pursuant to Article IV, Section 14, of the Texas Constitution, I, Greg Abbott, Governor of Texas, do hereby disapprove of and veto House Bill No. 4218 as passed by the Eighty-Seventh Texas Legislature, Regular Session, because of the following objections:
Texas prizes the freedom of parties to enter into private contracts and to have their bargains enforced. House B . . .
