DENVER, Colorado, June 17 -- Gov. Jared Polis, D-Colorado, issued the following news release:
The state has partnered to bring COVID-19 vaccination clinics to Junteenth celebrations in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Pueblo. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates the day African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Celebrations are hosted in cities across the country.
