WASHINGTON, June 10 -- Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, issued the following statement after a House Veterans' Affairs Committee hearing on the fiscal 2022 budget request for the Veterans Affairs Department:
After reviewing President Biden's VA budget request, I have grave concerns about the sustainability of this kind of massive spending increase.
Put simply, our focus should be streamlining healthcare access for veterans without growing the bloated VA bureaucracy.
