TUCSON, Arizona, May 19 (TNSPar) -- The International Dark-Sky Association issued the following news release on May 18, 2021:
The Appalachian Mountain Club's (AMC) Maine Woods property on Tuesday became the first International Dark Sky Park designated in New England. Because of significant light pollution affecting most of the eastern United States, there are only a few International Dark Sky Parks in the region.
