ATLANTA, Georgia, May 18 -- The Democratic Party of Georgia issued the following statement:

In response to the announcement by Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan that he will not seek re-election in 2022, Scott Hogan, Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Georgia, released the following statement:
"Lieutenant Governor Duncan's announcement that he will not seek re-election confirms what we already knew - there is no room for common sen . . .
