WASHINGTON, May 15 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency issued the following news release on May 14, 2021:
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced today that Army Chaplain (Capt.) Emil J. Kapaun, of Pilsen, Kansas, who died as a prisoner of war during the Korean War, was accounted for March 2, 2021.
