AUSTIN, Texas, April 13 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:

Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Sylvia Hernandez Kauffman as the Inspector General for Health and Human Services for a term set to expire on February 1, 2022.

Sylvia Hernandez Kauffman of Austin has served as the Inspector General for Health and Human Services since January 2018.
