WASHINGTON, March 12 -- Rep. Chris Pappas, D-New Hampshire, issued the following news release on March 11, 2021:
Today Congressman Chris Pappas voted to pass the bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021. This common-sense legislation closes loopholes within the existing background check system that exempts individuals purchasing a gun from an unlicensed gun seller from the background check process.
