Today marks a grim anniversary: one year since the first confirmed case of COVID-19 was documented in Texas. For the last year, Texas Republicans led by Governor Greg Abbott have shown mind-boggling disregard for human life. Their refusal to take this pandemic seriously has cost the lives of more than 44,000 Texans.
