LANCASTER, Pennsylvania, March 5 (TNSRes) -- Franklin and Marshall College issued the following news:

In the late 1990s, when he set out with the idea for his latest book, "The First Reconstruction: Black Politics in America from the Revolution to the Civil War," Van Gosse's subject was Black power, which he defines not as a movement, but as "political power for Black people."
