AUSTIN, Texas, March 3 -- The Texas Democratic Party issued the following statement:

Governor Abbott lifted all state-wide COVID-19 protections, effective next Wednesday, during a press conference he hosted Tuesday afternoon in Lubbock. The State of Texas was one of the last states to put restrictions in place to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and was also one of the first states to lift restrictions in the Spring of 2020.
